GIGistry – #FUGEisHUGE

I know, I know, I know… I have been a very bad blogger. I have not posted in a very long time and, I must admit, I will not be posting very much for the rest of the summer. This is a good thing for a few reasons:

1. You did not have to waste minutes of your life reading information that may or may not be important to you;

2. We all get a break from the wretched computer screen which glows ominously in our inactivity;

3. and God has been doing some incredible things in my life recently. This summer will be no different.

I am a part of something very large: FUGE Camps! It is so large that we are hash-tagging it on twitter as #FUGEisHuge. (jump on that if you haven’t)

What does this mean?

I am glad you asked.

FUGE is a summer camp for students who are seeking a closer relationship with God. We in the SMB are worship leaders for CentriFUGE at Panama City Beach this summer where we will lead bible studies, teach tracks, worship with with thousands of students, and be transformed by Christ.

It is an extended GIGistry opportunity for we Operation410‘ers and we are very excited. We wrapped up our training week about 3 hours ago and students are going to be here in less that 12 hours!

This is a chance to really use our gifts to serve these students by teaching them who Jesus is and what a relationship with Him looks like.

Please pray for us, our students, the adult leaders, and the churches who will be involved with FUGE Camps 2011. God is going to do BIG THINGS… and now is a time for our Faith to get LOUD.

More info to follow in the upcoming weeks.

God is good, all the time!

I have great news: My Computer is better!

And now that I have a fully functional computer, complete with internet and word processor, I can resume blogging. But there is so much to blog about… to much, in fact. I shan’t overwhelm you with a bloated, eternal blog so I shall post a blog a day in what I am calling my MAKE-UP WEEK.

(There’s more… read it!)
